Frequently asked questions.

When will you arrive at the engagement?
I will arrive to set up 30 minutes prior to when I am scheduled to start playing.

What sort of music do you play?
I have a large repertoire consisting of light classical, show tunes,
      sacred music and love songs.

Who selects music for weddings?
I will work with the bride and groom to customize the music to
      their unique taste.

If there are special requests that I don't have in my repertoire I
will do whatever I can to fulfill the request. I ask that special
requests be made at least two weeks before the wedding.

How do you dress?
My attire depends on the event. For formal weddings or
banquets concert black is most common or a formal ensemble.
For outdoor or smaller weddings usually a nice dress.

Will you play for a wedding on the beach?
I won't take the harp on sand. If the wedding is on a patio
overlooking the beach that's fine. If I take it out onto the sand
and the wind picks up I could get sand in the action of the harp
and that could do a lot of damage. So that is the one venue I
      can't do.

Do you need amplification?
It depends. If the event is in a large room with over 75 people,
amplification would be very helpful. Most banquet facilities are
set up for microphones. For church weddings it really depends
on the church. Some have great acoustics, especially the older
cathedrals. For small, more intimate events it is usually not
      necessary.

What do I need to provide for you?
I require about a 4 x 4 area. If it is an outdoor event and at all
possible I prefer shading to protect the harp from direct sunlight.

Is a deposit required?
For weddings a $50.00 deposit is required when the contract is
signed and the balance is due one week prior to the wedding.
For other events especially corporate events it is not always
      required.

How far in advance do you need to be booked for an event?
It is totally first come first serve. If I am called a day before the
event and I am available I will do it. Some bookings are as much
as a year in advance. The busiest time is of course December,
      so the sooner the better.

Do you perform with other musician?
Yes. As you can hear on the music tab I perform with both flute
and violin. I also have worked with cello.

Can you accompany a vocalist?
      Yes
